After the incredibly well organized and delicious Christmas lunch in 2017, 24 intrepid Christmas lunchers arrived in Neuchatel again to experience the wonderful warm welcome at the railway station.
A band of perfect drivers picked us up there and drove us to the beautiful Hôtel Du Peyrou (www.dupeyrou.ch – highly recommended) where we had two rooms just for us.
We started with an apéro and the best flutes I have ever eaten and then moved to the beautifully decorated tables and the roaring log fire in our dining room.
The Australian chef had prepared a perfect turkey lunch with all the trimmings, followed by flaming Christmas puds and Christmas cake with the coffee. The service was friendly and efficient, the wine flowed as did the conversations.
Again, a great success and all thanks to Joy Sandoz, our devoted and energetic organizer.
Everyone is hoping she will do it again a third year as it really is the perfect start to the festive season.
Thank you so much Joy.
